Reverting a Published Sandbox in OIM 11g R2

OIM 11gR2 provides an easy way of customizing the UI through sandbox. The changes are made in a sandbox and then published to MDS. A sandbox once publish cannot be reverted from OIM UI. However, you can revert back to the state before publishing the sadnbox changes through EM console by following the below steps.

1. Login to Enterprise Manager(EM Console).

2. Expand the Application Deploments >> Resource Adapters >> oracle.iam.ui.console.self-service and click oracle.iam.ui.console.self-service(V2.0)(oim_server1).

3. Click Application Development from the top and select MDS Configurations.

4. Select Runtime MBean Browser from the bottom of the screen.

5. Click on the Operations tab  and select listMetadataLabels operation

6. Click Invoke to display a list of all published sandboxes

7. Select a Creation label and copy the complete name of the element and click Return

8. Select the promoteMetadataLabel operation.

9.  Enter the label name you copied in step 7 and click Invoke. The invoke button will revert the sandbox to your desired state.

Note: You don't need to repeat the same set of steps for the another node.

9. Restart all the nodes of the OIM Server
